Bridget McGovern of Codnor/Ripley and formerly of Mullingar, Ireland and Nottingham/ London UK. With great sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful Mother Bridget. Mum lost her battle with her illness on October 7th, 2017 at Derby Royal Hospital and left us peacefully and surrounded by love aged 82. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank McGovern, and loving mum to six children; Tony, Noel, Jackie, Carol, Gillian, Lynda. Mum was also a much adored grandma to 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her partner of the last 12 years, Eric Waldock. Funeral service on November 3rd 2017 at St Josephs RC Church Ripley DE5 3EW at 12.00, followed by burial at Ripley Cemetery, DE5 3HY. Afterwards at the Codnor Castle Inn/Ormonde Golf Club, Nottingham Road, Codnor, DE5 9RL. All flowers are welcome. The family also welcome anyone who wants to join us for this last goodbye.
