An up-and-coming DJ is offering 500 free meals to "bring people together".
Big Zeeks, who also goes by the name Fresh Prince of Harlesden, is giving away 500 meals outside Nicks Caribbean Takeaway, in High Street, Harlesden, today (June 21) from 3pm to 7pm.
The 35-year-old father-of-two, real name Ezekiel Zeeks, is targeting school children who do not get enouth to eat.
He is calling on young people, shop owners and people to "come out and support the positive and uplifting movement".
Anyone who attends can tuck into a plate of jerk chicken, rice, peas and salad, as well as a soft drink.
He said: "I'd mostly like to target school children as many children don't get to eat a good lunch."
Big Zeek, who released his debut album, Fresh Prince of Harlesden, last month, will also play a three-hour DJ set.
He will also give out pencils and pencil cases to youngsters.
He added: "This is something I've never seen done in my community before.
"Obviously I'm a musician, I'm not rich or anything but I feel don't forget where you come from, it's always good to spread the love and push the energy out."
He received £1,000 from Brent Council's Love Where You Live fund, which he said he "really appreciates", as well as putting his own money towards the giveaway.
"What you put out you're going to get back in life," he added.
"I just want to show young black people can do positive things and make people come together as one and celebrate greatness."
