Children at a school were evacuated after a false alarm over a “suspicious item”.
Households near the school were also cleared from the area when police were called to Shakespeare Drive, between Kingsbury and Preston Road, this afternoon (June 30).
Staff at a school, believed to be Sinai Jewish Primary School, alerted police at 3pm and cordons were put in place as a precaution.
The Metropolitan Police said: “The item was assessed by specialists and found to be non-suspicious. The incident has now been stood down.”
At the moment it is unclear what the item was suspected to be.
Metropolitan Police and Sinai school have been approached for more information.
