A nursery which was previously described as “chaotic” by Ofsted has improved to a ‘good’ rating.
Children are happy and enjoy their time at Bright Starz Day Nursery in Stafford Road, West Kilburn, the latest school watchdog report states.
During the visit on May 9, Ofsted found the nursery was ‘good’ in all areas inspected.
This comes after previous reports found the early years setting was ‘inadequate’ in November 2022, and later rated ‘requires improvement’ in May that year.
After its last visit, the Brent & Kilburn Times quoted Ofsted which claimed “staff do not always supervise children ell enough” and described the room as “chaotic”.
After the latest inspection, inspectors wrote: “Staff are very welcoming, and the children have strong relationships with their key persons. Children are secure in the routines of the day, which are well managed by staff. As a result, they grow in confidence and flourish.”
It was said that children “demonstrate strong bonds” with staff and parents speak highly of them.
The report continued: “All children thoroughly enjoy playing and interacting with staff and demonstrate that they feel safe and secure.
“Staff aim to provide one-to-one support for children, and they know them well. They ensure that activities are adapted to enable all children to take part fully.”
Bright Starz Day Nursery did not wish to comment on the improvement.
