A historic pub is set to be reopened by a company that aims to restore "once-loved" locals to their former glory.
The William IV in Harrow Road, Kensal Rise, will begin trading again in November under the management of Loci Pubs, made up of brothers Ben and Ed Robson and their childhood friend Adam Gostyn.
The company, which already owns pubs in Hampstead and St John's Wood, aims to "seek out and restore" pubs to their local communities.
Announcing the takeover on social media, Loci Pubs wrote: “Exciting news! The grand opening of The William is just around the corner and we can’t wait to share this vibrant, new addition to the Loci Pubs family with you.”
The pub, built in 1837, will be rebranded as just ‘The William’, and the newly renovated site will have a fresh look, offering food, brunches and cocktails when it reopens its doors in November.
Just like the former William IV, there will be 15 bedrooms upstairs offering bed and breakfast accommodation, but this will not be available until early next year.
Ben Robson explained that the interior of the pub is currently being refurbished.
The company already owns The Clifton NW8 in St John’s Wood, Hampstead’s The Duke of Hamilton and The Alliance in Mill Lane, West Hampstead.
Loci Pubs says that the owners grew up locally and for the past few years they have been “seeking out and restoring” local pubs to bring them back to the community.
