Firefighters used a 32m turntable to tackle a blaze that destroyed the roof of a house.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters were called to reports of the blaze at a detached house in Alexander Avenue, Willesden Green at 7.23pm on Wednesday.
Two people left the building before fire crews arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
Firefighters used one of the brigade's 32m turntable ladders as a water tower.
The fire was under control by 8.16pm, but the roof was destroyed and half of the first floor was damaged.
The London Fire Brigade says the cause of the blaze is believed to have been accidental and caused by work on the roof using an open flame or equipment that produced heat or sparks.
Firefighters from North Kensington, Willesden, Paddington and surrounding fire stations attended the scene.
