Football fans were so busy fighting each other they missed their own team scoring at Wembley.
Police are investigating after social media footage appears to show around a dozen men trading blows at the EFL Trophy Final at Wembley Stadium yesterday afternoon (April 7).
One video shows a number of men high up in the stands of the Peterborough United vs Wycombe Wanderers match throwing punches at one another.
At least two Peterborough fans appear to topple forward over rows of seats, shortly before fans around them erupt into cheers as a goal is scored.
One man also seems to pull another’s trousers down in the fracas.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson has said that officers are aware of social media footage showing the fight, and that no injuries have been reported.
No arrests have been made but police enquiries continue.
Any witnesses are asked to call 101, quoting reference CAD 1307/8APR.
Peterborough ultimately won the match 2-1, scoring the winning goal in stoppage time.
