American fast-food chain Five Guys is preparing to open up at a site which was set to host a high-end sushi and cocktail bar.
Plans were approved in December last year to install an illuminated sign for Nakanojo, described as a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant, at 8 Wembley Park Boulevard, near the London Designer Outlet.
Nakanojo already has two existing branches in Marylebone and Victoria and was expected to expand to Wembley.
But shoppers may have noticed the branding for burger joint Five Guys at the address where Nakanojo was meant to open.
Five Guys says it is opening in Wembley Park “very soon”.
An official opening date has not been set yet, but a large ‘Five Guys’ sign has been installed, with a notice saying it is ‘now hiring’.
According to the jobs page on its website, there is only one role currently available for this branch – a shift manager with a pay rate of up to £30,940 plus bonus.
However the future of Nakanojo in Wembley is not known at this time.
Nakanojo has been approached for comment.
