Temporary parking restrictions have been made permanent after a trial.

The Brent Cross Cricklewood Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) has been adopted by Barnet Council, made effective from Thursday (June 20), following a successful trial last year.

Areas in the CPZ have been designated as "residents only" parking zones, effective from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday.

In this time, vehicles must display a valid "BA" permit or visitor voucher - residents at specific addresses are eligible to buy these.

However, vehicles with a valid disabled badge or motorcycles can park without a permit or voucher during controlled hours.

Permanent "at any time" restrictions will be applied to junctions on Claremont Road, Clitterhouse Road, Clitterhouse Crescent and Brent Terrace.

Loading is permitted in "residents only" zones and "at any time" areas for up to 40 minutes, if active loading or unloading is taking place.

Permit and voucher rates may change depending on the council's fee structure.

The affected parking zones include:

  • Brent Terrace - between 105 Brent Terrace and 9 Romney Row
  • Clitterhouse Road
  • Clitterhouse Crescent
  • Claremont Road - between Clitterhouse Road and Claremont Road

Eligible addresses for permits:

  • Clitterhouse Road - even numbered houses 2-170, odd numbered 3-137
  • Clitterhouse Crescent - even numbered houses 2-140, odd numbered 1-83
  • Claremont Road - odd numbered houses 85-99 and 143
  • Brent Terrace - even 2-104, odd 1-105 (including Romney Row, flats 1-9, and Rye Court, flats 1-6, excluding 1a Brent Terrace.

If you wish to challenge the validity of these orders you can apply to the High Court within six weeks of June 20.
