Survey figures have revealed the best north London GP surgeries as rated by their patients.

NHS England commissions the GP Patient Survey annually, and this year’s results show that 74% of patients nationally described their GP as ‘good’.

In north London, more than a dozen surgeries dramatically outperformed this figure, boasting patient satisfaction of more than 90%.

Four out of the top 10 surgeries in north London were located in the borough of Camden.

The best GP in the area, according to patients, was Adler Js – The Surgery in Finchley Road, Golders Green.

More than 97% of patients said that they had a positive overall experience of the GP.

More than nine out of ten people who attend the surgery also said they were satisfied with the ease of phone contact, with almost every patient (99%) saying that receptionists were helpful.

All of the top ten surgeries in north London enjoyed satisfaction rates of more than 90%.

The third ranked GP in the area, Hampstead Group Practice in Fleet Road, was the best at enabling patients to see their preferred GP often.

More than seven out of ten people who use the practice said that they were satisfied on this metric.

Camden Health Improvement Practice in Hampstead Road was ranked joint ninth for overall positive experience, but not a single patient said that they had a negative experience at the GP.
