An elderly man who was killed in a crash has been named nearly a year later as investigations into a crash continue.
Thomas Murphy, 71, was an Irish national who lived in Maida Vale before he died in a crash in Kilburn High Road on November 25, 2023.
He was hit as he was walking at the junction of Kilburn High Road and Cambridge Avenue at 3.23pm. He died at the scene.
The driver of the lorry stopped near the crash site a short time later and spoke to police, but there were no arrests.
An inquest was opened and adjourned at Barnet Coroner’s Court.

Nearly 10 months later, the Metropolitan Police has named Mr Murphy as the man killed and are appealing to to speak to two key witnesses.
Detective Sergeant Becca Collens, of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “The police investigation is ongoing, which has included obtaining CCTV footage that is central to this investigation.
“However we have been unable to make contact with two key witnesses who provided details to officers at the scene. I am appealing for those two men to make contact with me.
“I also need to hear from anyone else who saw the incident but has yet to speak with police. I am keen to have witness accounts as well as CCTV material and other evidence available for the inquest."
