Scaffolding has appeared in front of a disused Harlesden pub, raising hopes that it may open again soon.
Brent Council last year approved plans to retain the pub at The Willesden Junction Hotel in Station Road and convert the upper floors into flats.
The building dates back to the mid-19th Century, when it was built as a public house and hotel, but had fallen into disuse by the end of 2022.
A previous planning application, which would have seen eight flats created above the pub was withdrawn, with the approved scheme containing seven flats in total.
Six of those homes would be created on the first and second floors, with the final flat planned for a mansard roof extension.
Brent Council approved the application in July last year, paving way for work to start on the development.
A picture of scaffolding outside the building was posted to Facebook earlier this week, raising hopes that the pub could be restored in the near future.
Planning agents for the scheme JMS Planning and Development Ltd have been approached for comment.
More details of the approved scheme can be found on Brent Council’s planning portal under reference (22/4115).
