A popular cinema will close for a two-month refurb to make film-lovers "more comfortable".
Kiln Cinema is revamping its loos and seating to improve the customer experience at the Kilburn High Road venue.
Plans for the auditorium include restuffing, repairing and reupholstering seats, laying new carpet, and a full overhaul of the toilets.
There will also be increased wheelchair seating, and technical upgrades to boost sound quality and install an environmentally friendly laser projection system.
The venue, which is part of Kiln theatre in Kilburn High Road, will close from November 4 to allow the work to take place.
In a message to customers, the cinema said it wanted to expand the range of events, talks and comedy for the improved space.
A spokesperson said: "Kiln Cinema will be undergoing a refurbishment to enhance comfort, modernise its facilities, and improve environmental sustainability. Key upgrades include a more eco-friendly projection system, reupholstered seating, increased accessibility, and improved toilet facilities.
"These upgrades will make our venue more comfortable, more modern and environmentally sound, without sacrificing any of the great image and sound quality our audiences have been enjoying for years."
In a recent interview with the Ham&High, artistic director Amit Sharma said he wanted to create a "vibey buzzy building" that was "more inclusive to different audiences."
That included programming stand up comedians, book launches, and other entertainment strands like gaming.
The cinema, which shows both arthouse and mainstream movies, is showing The Outrun starring Saoirse Ronan, and Small Things Like These starring Cillian Murphy before it closes.
It plans to reopen on January 8 with film-lovers encouraged to book a seat in 2025: "So you can feel the difference for yourself!"
