An arrest has been made after a man was reportedly seen with a large knife in Ladbroke Grove.
The incident happened in Faraday Road, short distance from Maida Hill and Kensal Town, just before 2.40pm yesterday (November 5).
Officers attended and a 69-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon and affray.
According to eyewitnesses, there were lots of police in the area, some of them armed.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “On Tuesday, 5 November police were called to Faraday Road, W10 at 2.38pm following reports that a man had been seen with a large knife.
“Officers attended the scene and arrested a 69-year-old man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are on-going.”
