A supercomputer has predicted the winner of this year's Strictly Come Dancing and it wasn't the bookie's favourite.
Tess, Claudia and our four favourite judges have returned to the ballroom for series 21 and we're fully ready to embrace the glitter and sequins.
The battle for the glitterball trophy is well and truly on now the 15 famous faces lined up for this year's series have been partnered up with their professional partners.
While many of us have already picked our favourite from the comfort of our sofas, a supercomputer has been crunching the numbers to predict the King or Queen of this year's dancefloor.
Who is going to win Strictly Come Dancing 2023 according to supercomputer
Analysing data from the past 20 series of the BBC dancing contest, MyBettingSites.co.uk Supercomputer says that the typical Strictly winner is a 34-year-old male actor.
The supercomputer – which correctly predicted 33/1 outsider Hamza Yassin would win Strictly Come Dancing 2022 – has dubbed Manchester-born actor Adam Thomas as this year's winner.
Out of the 2023 line-up, the 35-year-old Emmerdale and Waterloo Road actor almost perfectly fits the bill of a successful Strictly winner thanks to his textbook gender, age, and occupation.
The research also revealed that TV presenters (six) are the most successful profession, on par with actors, with the likes of Ore Oduba and Natasha Kaplinsky jiving their way to victory in previous years.
Sportspeople round up the top three with three previous wins from former Olympian Louis Smith, and ex-cricketers Mark Ramprakash and Darren Gough.
A spokesperson for MyBettingSites.co.uk said: “After the Supercomputer correctly predicted Hamza Yassin to win the show last year, we felt it was necessary to bring it back in 2023.
“When having a flutter on this year’s show, looking at the historical data of previous winners is worth considering, despite the bookmaker’s prediction.
"Eastenders star Bobby Brazier is the current favourite at 7/2, but after last year’s Supercomputer success, punters may want to look toward actor Adam Thomas at 26/1 – that’s very good value.”
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday, September 23 on BBC One at 6.15pm.
